Hospice nurse Violet grants impossible deathbed wishes to patients whose files don't exist, awakening a buried power that blurs the line between savior and conduit for the dead.
Synopsis
Violet, a weary night-shift nurse at a fading Los Angeles hospice, starts receiving urgent requests from terminal patients who appear in beds without intake records or histories. Each wish she fulfills—delivering a lost love letter, stealing a prized painting, reuniting estranged siblings—leaves behind a strange glowing token and erases the patient from memory. As the wishes grow darker and more personal, Violet realizes these souls are fragments of lives she herself might have lived. Her investigation pulls her into a hidden network of unfinished fates, forcing confrontations with her own suppressed grief over a sister she let die alone. Colleagues dismiss the phenomena as grief hallucinations until one wish threatens to rewrite Violet's own death. In the final reckoning she must choose whether to close the rift or step through it.
The story
Violet works the graveyard shift at St. Jude's Hospice when a nameless man begs her to deliver a message to a daughter who doesn't exist. She fulfills it and the patient vanishes from all records overnight.
More impossible patients arrive; Violet's own forgotten childhood memories surface as each granted wish extracts pieces of her life. A hospital administrator and a skeptical doctor begin to suspect she's tampering with patients.
Violet discovers she is the final patient on the list. She completes one last wish for her younger self, then walks into the light, leaving behind a single glowing file labeled VIOLET.

INT. ST. JUDE'S HOSPICE - ROOM 312 - NIGHT Rain streaks the window. VIOLET REYES, 38, tired eyes, scrubs, enters quietly. An elderly man, MR. HARLAN, sits upright in bed, fully dressed in a 1940s tuxedo that shouldn't be there. VIOLET You shouldn't be up. Meds are strong tonight. HARLAN I need you to finish something. My wife waits at the Valencia Ballroom. Tell her the last dance was always hers. Violet sighs, reaches for the call button. Harlan catches her wrist. His hand is ice. HARLAN (CONT'D) Please. No one else can. Violet looks at the empty chart. No name. No admission time. She pockets the folded note he offers. When she turns back, the bed is empty. Only a single white rose lies on the sheet, glowing faintly.
