Synopsis
In a rain-soaked megacity where skyscrapers rise from polluted waters, exiled samurai KAIRO-9 hunts the architects of his erased past. His head is a flickering 1980s CRT broadcasting fragments of forgotten honor while his mount, the sentient koi SHIRO, cuts through black waves with chrome fins and hydraulic gills. KAIRO-9 storms the floating towers of NEUROKAI, battling cyborg enforcers and glitchy security drones. Each victory uploads more of his stolen life into the screen, forcing him to choose between reclaiming his soul or becoming the weapon the system designed. As the final firewall collapses, KAIRO-9 and SHIRO merge in a last ride that floods the city’s power grid, broadcasting the truth across every screen and freeing thousands of similarly trapped minds.
The story
KAIRO-9 awakens on a half-submerged pier, CRT head buzzing with static visions of a wife and child he cannot name. SHIRO surfaces and bonds with him, carrying the ronin into the glowing underbelly of Tokyo where corporate drones already circle.
KAIRO-9 infiltrates NEUROKAI towers, fighting wave after wave of augmented samurai and data-wraiths. Each kill restores a memory, revealing he was once their top prototype before they wiped him for disobedience.
In the flooded core server, KAIRO-9 faces his own original body now piloted by the CEO. He and SHIRO sacrifice their forms to overload the grid, uploading every suppressed memory to the public net before the screens go black forever.
