Synopsis

In the fog-shrouded Carpathians, Austrian lieutenant Franz Keller leads a scouting party into the ruins of Castle Dracula seeking strategic advantage. What begins as a routine incursion turns deadly when they disturb massive hives tended by the undead count, releasing bees that sting with vampiric venom and turn victims into thralls. Keller's dwindling squad battles both the swarming insects and Dracula's brides amid dripping honeycombs and blood-soaked halls. Each sting reveals horrifying visions of past empires crushed by the same ancient guardians, forcing Keller to confront the empire's brutal legacy. As night falls and the castle awakens, Keller forges a desperate alliance with a rogue beekeeper descendant to destroy the queen hive before the bees and vampires march on Vienna itself.

EXT. CARPATHIAN MOUNTAINS - NIGHT

Fog clings to black pines. Austrian soldiers in blue coats hack through undergrowth, torches flickering. LT. FRANZ KELLER, 32, scarred and grim, leads point.

KELLER
Keep formation. The count's coffins are inside. We take them before dawn.

PRIVATE GRUBER
Sir, the locals say the bees guard this place. They smell blood.

KELLER
Bees don't fight empires. Move.

They reach the castle gate. A low, ominous HUM rises. Honey drips from the stone arch like sap. Keller raises his torch. Thousands of golden eyes glint in the darkness.

The first bee strikes like a bullet. Then the swarm erupts.

Why now

In an era of empire nostalgia, climate-driven insect panic, and rising historical reckonings, this story weaponizes the bee as both victim and avenger, delivering a bloody spectacle that feels like a gothic western for the Anthropocene.
