Synopsis
In a sleepy suburb, 14-year-old Lila doodles obsessively in her battered notebook, conjuring a dreamy purple-pink kingdom of loose-lined castles and flying teapots. One stormy night the page glows and sucks her inside, where her sketches have become living, breathing characters who recognize her as their creator. Together they race across candy-colored meadows and floating libraries while a faceless Eraser devours color and memory in its wake. Lila learns her real-world sadness has been bleeding into the drawings, weakening their borders. With the help of a sarcastic scribble fox, a tutu-wearing cloud, and a forgetful knight made of paper, she confronts the truth: only by accepting her own messy feelings can she seal the Eraser away. The kingdom erupts in a riot of hand-drawn fireworks as Lila draws the final protective border, returning home forever changed yet still clutching her glowing pencil. Now the notebook stays open on her desk, a portal for any child brave enough to pick up a crayon.
The story
Lila, bullied at school and ignored at home, fills her notebook with increasingly vivid purple-pink scenes until one drawing animates and pulls her through the page into the living storybook world.
Teaming with Skribble the fox and other sketched allies, Lila battles the advancing Eraser that devours landscapes and memories alike, uncovering that her own doubt is feeding the darkness.
Lila faces the Eraser in the heart of the fading castle, draws with pure emotion, seals the rift, and returns home carrying the notebook that now hums with quiet magic.

INT. LILA'S BEDROOM - NIGHT Rain streaks the window. 14-year-old LILA sits cross-legged on the floor, sketchbook open, colored pencils scattered like candy. The page glows soft purple-pink. Loose sketchy lines form a tiny floating castle. LILA (whispering) Please don’t be just lines tonight. A pencil rolls toward the page on its own. The castle turret leans forward, ink dripping like rain. Lila leans in. The paper ripples. LILA What the— A tiny sketched fox pops its head out of the binding, ink whiskers twitching. SKRIBBLE (in a scratchy voice) You drew the door, kid. You coming or what? Lila’s eyes widen. The fox yanks her pencil. The bedroom light flares pink. She is pulled straight into the paper.
